A series of Wagyu workshops in three states in March are targeted at enhancing the registration and management skills of members.
Australian Wagyu Association Technical Services Manager Carel Teseling, who will lead the discussions assisted by Member Services Officers Caitlin Berecry and Sally McPhie, said the full day workshops are excellent opportunities for members to up-skill in areas influencing herd productivity.
“We will discuss how to efficiently record your calves from birth to sale or slaughter and how to make informed breeding selections”, he said.
Each workshop runs from 9 am to 5:30 pm and will include a guest presentation or a field trip to a nearby Wagyu breeding operation. Learn more >
While the workshops are structured specially for AWA members, those commencing in the industry could gain valuable knowledge but need to join the AWA to register.
