The Australian Wagyu Association is delighted to announce that chairman of Australian Livestock Exporters’ Council, the Hon. Mr Simon Crean will be our closing keynote speaker on Day 3 for the annual conference, WagyuEdge: Building Integrity.
Mr Crean will focus on industry sustainability and community perceptions, drawing on his extensive experience in public affairs and more recently his leadership role in the livestock export industry. Mr Crean will talk about the imperatives of effective advocacy and having a meaningful national presence in terms of politics and policymakers.
AWA CEO, Dr Matt McDonagh says it is a great privilege to have Mr Crean as the closing Keynote Speaker for the conference and adds that Mr Crean will also be part of the industry panel session to share his insights into creating a sustainable future for the Wagyu industry.
The industry panel session brings together some of the industry’s most respected identities, including Heartbrand Wagyu USA’s JoJo Carales, Tim Burgess (Mort & Co), Jason Lewis (Jac Wagyu), Bryce Camm (ALFA President) and Anna Speer (COO of AACo)
Bryce is well known in the feedlot industry as CEO of Camm Agriculture Group and more recently with election to the position of ALFA President. Anna was for many years the CEO of AuctionsPlus and more recently has joined AACo in the role of Chief Operating Officer to oversee the company’s operations in breeding, processing, feedlots and pastoral activities.
The knowledge that Bryce and Anna bring is supplemented by the on the ground knowledge that Tim and Jason will bring of Australian Wagyu production, while JoJo’s experience in the USA will help us to understand how we can work toward a greater sustainable future for Wagyu locally and internationally.
